Remediasi Cegah Kerusakan Lingkungan
PEKANBARU - PT Chevron Pasific Indonesia (CPI) tengah fokus mempersiapkan remediasi atau pembersihan permukaan tanah di ladangnya yang sudah tercemar."Chevron harus kemas-kemas dan bersih-bersih (berakhir kontrak blok rokan, red).
Mereka sudah clear akan membersihkan kembali bekas-bekas ladangnya," kata Asiten II Setdaprov Riau, Masperi di Pekanbaru, Senin (12/6/2017).
Remediasi, kata Masperi, merupakan salah satu cara untuk menyelamatkan lingkungan dari pencemaran bekas ladang operasi perusahaan.
"Dengan remediasi, bekas ladang Chevron ini diharapkan tidak berkontaminasi dan menimbulkan kerusakan lingkungan," tuturnya. (mcr).
