Bayern Munich vs Lyon: Michael Olise's brace gives Die Roten a 2-1 victory

Munich -Bayern Munich secured a 2-1 victory over French club Olympique Lyon in a friendly. Vincent Kompany's side won 2-1 thanks to a brace from Michael Olise .

The friendly match between Bayern Munich and Lyon took place at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, August 2, 2025, WIB.

Bayern Munich fielded almost all of their first-team players, but the home team was held to a goalless draw by Lyon at halftime.

Bayern made squad changes after halftime. Die Roten's new player, Luis Diaz, was played for the first time in the second half.

Bayern broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute. Michael Olise scored from the penalty spot to give his team a 1-0 lead.

BRACE! Olise scored his second goal in the 60th minute. The former Crystal Palace player found the back of the net with a low shot, capitalizing on Serge Gnabry's assist.

Lyon reduced the deficit in the 83rd minute. Alejandro Rodriguez scored after tapping in a pass from Khalis Merah.

The visitors failed to equalize in the remaining time, resulting in a 2-1 victory for Bayern Munich.
